About Me

In a Nutshell?

I'm a scholar, a writer, a thinker, an actor, a big nerd, and a teacher. I love culture and the arts. And I want to share it!

I am a lifelong nerd and researcher. I learned how to play DnD from my dad, watched Star Trek with my parents, and have read "The Silmarillion" more than once.

I love nerdy pop-culture and I how it inspires people. Our passion about our fandoms can help us learn more about ourselves, about others, and how we relate to the world. I believe that we can learn lessons about life through our favorite media and I wish to research this phenomena.

I am a "would-be-doctor" because I have recently applied for my PhD to study culture and identity theory in online fan bases.
